SHIFTER was built for one purpose:
Move the sound without interrupting the idea.
Pitch shifting is one of those processes producers reach for constantly. A melody needs to sit deeper. A vocal needs a completely different character. A sample feels too familiar. A drum hit needs more weight. A texture needs to move somewhere stranger. SHIFTER removes the unnecessary steps between hearing that idea and trying it. Turn left and the sound moves downward. Turn right and it rises. Then use FINE when the bigger move is right but the tuning needs that final adjustment. There are no pages of parameters and no musical decisions being made for you. You choose the direction. SHIFTER moves the sound.

At the centre of SHIFTER sits its primary control. SHIFT moves the pitch of the incoming audio across a full creative range of: -12 to +12 semitones Turn left to descend. Turn right to elevate. Return to centre for the original pitch position. The control gives you immediate access to octave-down, octave-up and everything between without digging through menus or entering values manually. TURN LEFT Lower. Deeper. Heavier. Great for: - darker melodies - deeper vocals - heavier samples - larger drums - aggressive sound design - adding weight to existing material TURN RIGHT Higher. Brighter. More energetic. FINE
When the big move is right, finish the detail
SHIFT handles the broad transformation. FINE lets you make smaller adjustments around that result. Use it when you've found the general pitch you want but need to refine where the sound sits. That could mean subtly adjusting a vocal layer, tightening a sample against another instrument, creating slight pitch variation or simply finding the position that feels best by ear. SHIFT gets you there. FINE lets you settle it in. It keeps SHIFTER creative without sacrificing precision.

SHIFTER is designed around what happens creatively when a sound is moved away from its original position. DESCEND Move lower for additional weight, darkness and depth. Melodies become heavier. WHAT SHIFTER IS AND ISN'T
Direct pitch control. NOT automatic key conversion.
SHIFTER is a pitch-shifting utility. It moves incoming audio according to the position of the SHIFT control. It does not: detect the musical key of the source identify scales or chord progressions automatically decide which key the sound should move to intelligently convert one song key into another If you know where you want the sound to go or simply want to experiment until it feels right: SHIFTER gives you the control to move it there.
