GHOST by ShaneRoss is a one-knob creative FX plugin designed to pull ordinary sounds away from the foreground and into something haunting, distant, unstable and paranormal. As the GHOST control increases, the source progressively loses its normal sense of presence and becomes more atmospheric, spectral and otherworldly. GHOST is designed for melodies, pianos, bells, guitars, synths, pads, samples, vocals, textures and other melodic material.

GHOST takes sounds that feel close, clean and immediate and progressively pushes them into a more distant, atmospheric world. At lower settings, the transformation is subtle the sound begins to soften and drift. Push further and its edges become less defined, the stereo image opens and a spectral atmosphere begins to form around the original signal. At maximum intensity, GHOST turns the source into something that feels less like a sound playing in front of you and more like something lingering around you. No endless parameters. No complicated routing. No hunting through effects. Just choose how far from reality you want the sound to go.

GHOST is designed so multiple processes evolve together as the control moves. The result isn't simply “more reverb.” The sound changes character. GHOST CHARACTER 0–25% PRESENT — original character with subtle distance 25–50% FADING — softened, wider and increasingly atmospheric 50–75% HAUNTED — spectral movement and space become prominent 75–100% PARANORMAL — full ethereal transformation

The further you turn GHOST, the less present the sound becomes.
FADE Pulls the sound away from the listener, reducing the sense that it is sitting directly at the front of the mix. HOLLOW Reshapes the tonal character, creating the thinner and more distant quality associated with the GHOST sound. DRIFT Introduces subtle instability and movement so sustained sounds feel less static and increasingly supernatural. HAUNT Builds an atmospheric spectral layer around the original source, creating space without reducing the effect to a conventional reverb. EXPAND Pushes the transformed character outward into the stereo field, creating a wider and more immersive sense of distance.
