Alongside the fixed 8kHz high shelf, the plug-in models the input stage of two classic console variants, capturing the subtle saturation, density, and forwardness that happens before the EQ ever touches the signal. Use it as a tone move, a presence lift, or both.

Like all Canvas Audio plug-ins, 8K comes with 4x oversampling. There are also input/output linking and mix options. Once you’ve dialed in your favourite setting, save it as a preset or grab one of ours to get inspired!

Simple, but very useful.
I like how quickly 8K lets me add a little presence and air without having to think too much about EQ settings. It feels more natural than reaching for a conventional EQ when I just want to bring out the top end a little. I’ve found myself using it when a track feels slightly dull or lacks that final bit of openness.

My voice has unpleasant resonance around 2,4 and 8k so I have to notch it out on a narrow Q. I find that this plugin can add back some needed presence at the top end. It's not a notch, so it can add some general lift there to put back some of what's missing. I find it useful for that in particular.

I love the fact that this plugin is just so simple that I don't even have to overthink I can just turn the knob and trust my ears!!!!! mixing with the ears is way better then with your eyes, since the ears are literally what you use to hear the music! why would I use my eyes and get used to one specific workflow to go and place a band and try to perfect it to look good if I can just use 8K and pull and engage! the plugin also looks absolutely stunning, for just being basically a one knob plugin (yes there's more) it's absolutely amazing!!!! the secret saturation, preset, 4x oversampling, v1/v2 mode yea absolutely perfect! I'm going to use this on every master now I don't care I was always overthinking with using Graphic EQs but with this plugin I literally just open it and turn THIS IS SO GENIUS 😿😿😿😿😿 YOU ARE SO AMAZING! AND CATS TOO!! MY CAT COULD LITERALLY DIAL IN MORE "8K"😻😻😻😻😻😻🐈🐈🐈🌸🐈🐾🐈🐾🐈🐈🐾🐈🐈🐾🩷🐈🩷🐈🩷🐾🐈🩷
