An evolution on the classics, Oak combines the best flavours of analog compression and saturation with intuitive controls that deliver instant results. Shape transients, boost weight, or add air all with minimal tweaking.
Precision Tone Crafting
The attack time controls how quickly Oak clamps down on transients. Faster settings catch peaks and add control, while slower times let punch and texture breathe through before compression takes hold. Punch is a pre-compressor transient shaper that reinforces the front-end impact of your sound. Punch adds attack before compression even begins, letting you push forward transients without losing control further down the chain. Body is a low-end shelf that adds warmth, weight, and presence to your signal. Use it to round out vocals, beef up drums, or anchor a mix element without muddying the lows. Air is a high-end shelf that lifts the top with clarity and smoothness. Air adds shine and space, perfect for enhancing detail or restoring brilliance lost during compression.
Saturation For Days!
Oak includes two extremely tasty saturation circuits modelled after both revered vintage transformers and soft but sweet vintage tape. Take your pick and start dialling in! There is also an extra era switch to get that exciting vintage Rev A harmonic punch or the (slightly) more modern Rev D style harmonic kiss from the compressor circuit.
Everything You Need Lives In The Canvas
With modern controls such as 4x oversampling, post-processor HPF and LPF, and parallel mix functions, Oak is a one-stop shop for all your compression needs. The added sidechain helps to make sure you can dial in your compression quickly and accurately without any extra buildup hitting the compression circuit. There are also input and output meters, along with a preset bar so you can save and recall that perfect setting you dialled in.
