At the heart of CINEFELT is the big central Felt knob: your one-move shortcut from “pretty nice” to “this belongs in a film.” Under the hood, that single control blends a carefully tuned chain of: • tone shaping, • subtle compression, • transient sculpting, • saturation, and • dynamic noise, reacting to your input level. You get two base characters: • WARM – more vintage, textured and cozy. • CLEAN – minimal processing, for when you just want a gentle felt touch without extra color. Dial in just enough “felting” to support the song - from barely-there softness to fully muted late-night piano confessions.

Sometimes you don’t want to build a sound from zero. You just want to pick a mood and start writing. CINEFELT ships with 50+ presets designed as creative starting points for: • intimate felt pianos & neoclassical beds, • LoFi keys and Rhodes-style tones, • ambient pads and soundscapes, • presets for guitars, strings and other “non-piano” sources. Most presets are built to be subtle but deep: the main knob is used musically, with small moves across multiple parameters adding up to a believable, inspiring result. There are also some more extreme presets for you to check out, though - it doesn't need to be tame. Browse quickly, save your own variations, and stay in flow instead of rebuilding the same chain in every session.

Why I built CINEFELT
I create emotional, piano-driven music that feels like a journey to inner peace. When I started composing as Pat George about a year ago, I kept reaching for that intimate “felt” tone — the kind of sound that makes a simple chord feel like a whole scene. So I did what everyone does: I tried the usual felt pianos, the free ones, the hyped ones, the expensive ones. And most of them either sounded the same as everyone else, were too muffled, or felt weirdly digital. The ones I really liked, like Noire, had so many dials and options that it slowed me down when all I wanted was to write. At some point I asked myself a simple but honest question: “What if there was a plugin that could turn any piano into a felt piano — with just one knob?” Out of that question, CINEFELT was born. It started as me tinkering: I wanted a simple, musical way to take the sounds I already loved and wrap them in warmth, intimacy and LoFi character - without building a whole plugin chain every time or getting lost in settings. The pun, “music must be FELT”, came naturally. That’s really the whole point: CINEFELT is a small tool to help you get from idea to emotion faster, so you spend less time tweaking and more time actually playing.
